Lucy Hannah is an audio producer, trainer, and radio drama consultant. She\u2019s led and established sustainable radio\/audio projects for the BBC and NGOs in areas of conflict around the world. Recent projects include radio\/audio projects with dramatists in Kabul, southern Sudan, and southern Africa. She was writer-in-residence at HMP Rochester, a young offender\u2019s institute.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Fahd Abada<\/strong>, aged 22.\u00a0<\/div>\n

Friends call him Abada.\u00a0He was born in Manchester, but was raised in west London, White City. He loves writing. \u201cI\u2019ve written for a magazine before, but I had never written a script before.\u00a0Each day I was learning something new. It was a great experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it.\u201d

\"\"Shiezel Wilson<\/strong>, aged 21
\nShiezel lives in Lewisham and contributes to LIVE magazine as a journalist. She\u2019d never written anything like this before.
\n\u201cI mostly focused on the script writing because I felt I had something to learn and it\u00a0gave my artistic side a place to grow. I also play the part of the Hostel Lady in the drama.\u201d <\/span>\u00a0<\/div>\n

\"\"Chris Syrus<\/strong>, aged 29<\/span><\/div>\n

Chris is from south London and lives in Croydon. He worked with Lucy Hannah on a project called Rapping Up Europe in 2007 (British Council youth-in-action programme) which focused on lyric writing. \u201cThis audio drama process was a brand new field. It allowed me to build on my knowledge of poetry and lyric writing \u2013 I\u2019ve just completed a book of poems: Lovelife 6958\u201d. Chris plays Shakai in the drama.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Robert Timon<\/strong>, 21.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Robert lives in south London. He came to the group through the SOS Gangs project. \u201cI really enjoyed the workshops and hope that this series takes off.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Chris Samuels<\/strong>, aged 23<\/span><\/div>\n

Chris lives in London Bridge. He\u2019s originally from Jamaica, and his family moved here in the early eighties. He\u2019s very interested in the media. \u201cI saw an opportunity to develop my lyric, script writing, and acting skills. I think our story\u2019s going to alert a lot of kids as to what\u2019s really happening. Josh\u2019s story could happen to anyone who comes out of prison.\u201d

\"\"Charmaine Gordon-Foley<\/strong>, aged 23.<\/span><\/div>\n

AKA creative c, Charmaine\u2019s completed many projects, but she says this has been one of her favourites. \u201cI wrote lyrics and helped with the story ideas on the script. I\u2019ve done a lot of writing in the past as a singer \/ song writer. Anything to do with being positive and encouraging\u00a0others is right up my street.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Julie Adenuga<\/strong>, aged 20.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Julie\u2019s from North London, and is associated with LIVE which is how she got involved with Out of the Gate. \u201cI like working in a team, and I enjoy discussing the character\u2019s storylines and structuring the series.\u201d
\nJulie did the web marketing for the drama.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Carl Galloway<\/strong>, aged 25.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Carl lives in south London. He loves writing comedy ideas, so he bought a character to the workshops that he created prior to the production \u2013 Penknife. He also assisted the director during recording. \u201cIt\u2019s been a great experience and I hope we get another series.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Rob Scott<\/strong>, aged 17.<\/span><\/div>\n

Rob\u2019s from Newcastle. He moved to London in February and now lives in Tooting. He\u2019s got a passion for creative writing and music. \u201cAll the people involved in the project were fantastic and it\u2019s turned out really well.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
